Mama's of Carle Place

What a great meal! Everything was delicious from start to finish. The baked clams were excellent, and the pesto flatbread pizza was absolutely amazing — crispy, cheesy and packed with flavor. The drinks were just as good. The espresso martini was perfectly made, and the watermelon margarita was fresh and delicious. Great food, great drinks and a really nice atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We got so much food and we didn’t really like any of it. The knots didn’t have garlic on it & adding seasoning. I will say that the staff were extremely nice and attentive from the server to the guys that packed up the food to the manager. It’s cute that they have different days of different entrees. I will say that all of the staff were soo nice tho.

Today was my first time visiting Mama’s, and I will definitely be back! I was recommended this place by a coworker back when the establishment first opened, and I invited a friend from halfway across the island to try this place with me. We both LOVED it (I got the penne Alfredo with grilled chicken) and our server was very friendly and attentive. The prices are also amazing, very affordable and the food tastes SO much better than it’s worth! Thank you Mama’s! I will definitely treat myself to this place again!

I really wanted to leave a positive review, but this was a disappointing experience. We visited as a party of two at 7:00 p.m. on 7/17/26. When we arrived, there were two hostesses at the front. One was warm, friendly, and welcoming, but unfortunately, the hostess who seated us was the complete opposite. She dropped the menus on the table without a word and walked away. 🥴 Our waitress was attentive at first, but by her fourth visit she was already suggesting we box up our food, which made us feel rushed out. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, there was no wait at the door, and we were simply enjoying dinner and conversation over sparkling water since the bar wasn’t even open. To be fair, the garlic Parmesan bread was delicious, the salad was fresh with a great balsamic dressing, and my friend enjoyed her eggplant Parmesan. Unfortunately, my seafood risotto was bland! I only ate the seafood and left the risotto. By the end of the meal, we were disappointed enough to skip dessert and go elsewhere to finish our evening. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to my friends or family, and I won’t be returning. We simply didn’t feel welcome.

The food was outstanding. We started with the rice balls, which were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The pasta dishes were rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. One thing worth mentioning is the portion sizes. They are HUGE. I’m pretty sure one entrée could feed a small family 😂. Come hungry or be prepared to take plenty home because Mama’s definitely does not skimp on portions. The restaurant has only recently opened and is still waiting on its liquor license, so soft drinks are currently the only beverage option. Once they add wine and cocktails to the mix, I can only imagine the experience will be even better.
